What Is the LTO Tracker?

The LTO Tracker is a free online platform launched by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) of the Philippines. It lets you check the status of your driver's license or vehicle plate number — without going to an LTO office.

It was launched in May 2025 by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) as part of a push to fix the long-standing plate backlog that has been an issue since 2014. The platform is available at ltotracker.com and works 24/7 on any phone or computer.

Beyond just checking status, the LTO Tracker also lets you book home delivery through accredited couriers. This means no more taking a day off work, no more waiting in long queues, and no more guessing when your plate or license will be ready.

How to Use the LTO Tracker

The process is simple and takes about 5–10 minutes. Here is what to do:

01
Step 1

Go to the Official Website

Choose License or Plate

Select either Driver's License or Plate Number depending on what you want to track.

03
Step 3

Enter Your Details

For a license: enter your 13-digit license number and birthdate. For a plate: enter your plate or MV number.

04
Step 4

Check Your Status

The system will show if your document is ready. If not found, it may not be encoded yet — try again later.

05
Step 5

Book Home Delivery (Optional)

If available, click to book delivery. Enter your shipping address and choose from the listed couriers.

06
Step 6

Upload ID & Pay

Upload a valid ID plus OR or CR. Pay via GCash or QRPh. Save your transaction reference number.

What You Need to Track Your Status

You do not need to create an account just to check your status. Here is what each type of lookup requires:

🪪 For Driver's License License Holders

  • Your date of birth
  • For "Not Found" cases: also prepare your LTMS Client Number, full name, and contact details

🚗 For Vehicle Plate Number Vehicle Owners

  • Your plate number (if already assigned) OR your MV File Number (15-digit alphanumeric)
  • The MV File Number is found on the top-left of your Certificate of Registration (CR) or in the payment details of your Official Receipt (OR)
  • Ensure the plate is registered under your name — the system will flag mismatches

📦 For Home Delivery Booking Additional Docs Needed

  • One valid government-issued ID: UMID, Driver's License, Passport, PRC ID, Senior Citizen ID, National ID, or TIN ID
  • For license: Official Receipt (OR)
  • For plates: Certificate of Registration (CR)
  • GCash account or QRPh-enabled bank/e-wallet for payment

Troubleshooting LTO Tracker Issues

Running into a problem? Here are the most common issues and how to fix them:

This usually means your record hasn't been encoded in the system yet. Try again in a few days. If it's been a long time, provide additional details such as your full name, LTMS Client Number, OR/CR information, birthdate, and contact number to help LTO locate your record.
Check your email for an official certification from LTO — this email contains your correct plate number. If in doubt, contact the LTO directly at lto_tracker@gmail.com or ltodelivery.ncr@gmail.com.
Make sure all photos are clear, well-lit, and that all text on your ID and OR/CR is fully readable. Avoid shadows, blurriness, or dark backgrounds. Retake the photos in natural light and try uploading again.
Contact your courier directly using your tracking number. LTO is not responsible for delivery delays once the item is with the courier. If you cannot reach the courier, email LTO at ltodelivery.ncr@gmail.com or contact Aksyon on the Spot at 0929-292-0865 via SMS or Viber.
Contact LTO customer service immediately at lto_tracker@gmail.com or ltodelivery.ncr@gmail.com and explain your situation. Act quickly — once the item is handed to the courier, cancellation may not be possible.
No. The plate must be under your name. If you recently bought the vehicle, you need to complete a Transfer of Ownership and change the registration details first. A mismatch may flag the vehicle in the LTO system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the LTO Tracker free to use?

Yes. Checking your plate or license status is completely free. You only pay if you choose home delivery — fees start at ₱150.

Can foreigners use the LTO Tracker?

No. Foreign clients who converted their license to a Philippine license must use the Philippine Postal Service for delivery, as per a 2019 LTO memorandum.

How long does delivery take?

Typically 3 to 10 business days, depending on your location. Metro Manila deliveries are usually faster. Some remote areas may take longer.

Can someone else claim my plate for me?

No. The plate must be registered in your name. A name or address mismatch in the CR can flag the vehicle in the system.

What payment methods are accepted?

GCash and QRPh (which supports major Philippine banks and e-wallets). No cash payments are accepted online.

What if my status says "Processing" for a long time?

This is normal in some cases. It means your document is still being prepared at the LTO facility. Email LTO or contact Aksyon on the Spot if it has been more than 2 weeks.

Do I need an LTMS account to use the tracker?

No. You can check your status without logging in. You only need your license number, MV number, or plate number.

What if my plate was issued at an LTO office outside NCR?

The LTO-NCR Tracker is primarily for NCR plates. For plates registered at other LTO offices, coordinate directly with that regional office.
